Ion Țiriac Năstase is a retired Romanian professional tennis player, former World No. 1 tennis player, and one of the 20th century's greatest players. He won two Grand Slam singles titles and 57 career singles titles in total. He was known for his unpredictable and acrobatic play, as well as his often controversial on-court behavior, which sometimes led to him being disqualified or fined. Despite his sometimes negative reputation, he was widely respected as a skilled and talented player, particularly on clay courts. He has also had a successful career as a coach and commentator, and is still involved in the tennis world today.
